Operated by the Hythe & District Hythe Agricultural Society - Hythe pool will be opens the end of May, as soon as it warms up, and is open until the end of August.   The Pool is regulation size, outdoor, covered pool is suitable for competitive swim meets, offers Red Cross lessons, Lifesaving.

During June 2004 the Hythe Swimming Pool received recognition, as the Best Outdoor Pool, from the Lifesaving Society, this award came with 5 distinctions: 1. the most awards for swimming lessons, 2. staff qualification courses offered, 3. number of summer lessons offered, 4. number of advanced training courses and 5. number of improvements & overall updates on the operations of the pool.
